Northallerton has a bustling High Street with many independent shops, cafes and pubs. There is a busy market on Wednesday and Saturday and free WiFi is available in almost all of the shopping area. Barkers department store is a famous part of the High Street with its unique Barkers Arcade, a glass covered arcade of speciality shops, most of which are family owned and run, and each one is individual. A bus service is available from nearby our park to the town centre.

The Vale of Mowbray is the low lying land between the North York Moors and the Hambleton Hills to the East and the Yorkshire Dales to the West, characterised by its meandering rivers and undulating landscape. The towns of Northallerton, Thirsk and Catterick are in this area of Yorkshire and in addition there are many smaller villages and settlements. There are numerous visitor attactions in or near to this area and all interests are well catered for.

Canada Fields Caravan Park has been developed by the Tiplady family who own the working farm. A variety of wild animals and flora and fauna can be found on and around Canada Fields including geese, fox, duck, teal, wigeon, heron, badger, hare, rabbit and many wild flowers and other animals.
